Cancel That

Well, I got home from work today and spent my evening cleaning out the garage and getting ready for my move. Then, I got home from Wal-Mart and checked my e-mail. I got an email from the school stating that they are about 40 students short of their projected enrollment and that they are having to cut staff and they are not going to be hiring me afer all.

WOW!! I can't believe it still. It's been about an hour since I got the e-mail, and I'm just completely shocked!! I quit my job and everything. So, I'm not sure what the Lord has in store for me. BUT I do know that God is in control, and that this is what is best for me, even though I may not understand it. Jeremiah 29:11 - 13 says....

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
And ye shall seek me, and find [me], when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

SO, I will continue trusting the Lord and praying. I know that He has something wonderful in store for me.

Thank you for praying with me about this. It may take me a day or so to adjust, but I know that my Heavenly Father only wants what is best for me. So, I am confident that this is His best, whether or not I understand it right now.

I'm stunned! I don't know how people handle life's disappointments and troubles without the Lord. He must have something wonderful in mind for you. I will be keeping you in my prayers. ((((Hugs))) Gail

I must say once again, I am very impressed with your positive attitude. If I were in your shoes, I know my attitude would need some adjusting. So here goes my bad attitude: Why in the world would they give you horrible news like that through e-mail??? Couldn't they have picked up the phone? O.K., I just had to say it. I'm so very sorry you have to face disappointment once again. I had a situation applicable to yours in the past, and I can say, I'm glad things worked out like they did. God has something awesome in store for you! You are in my prayers. Hang in there.

That really bites - and was very unprofessional on the part of the school. They had to have known you quit your job here and were planning to move across the country.
